Honda R&D used the design parameters of the BF9.9 horsepower to mold the new Honda BF15. The result is a 15-horsepower, four-stroke outboard just slightly larger and a little heavier than a 9.9. In fact, you really have to look for the horsepower label on the engine cowl to distinguish between the new 15-horsepower and the 9.9-horsepower Honda outboards.
